Rise In Winter Deaths
Posted on 26th November 2017
According to the Office for National Statistics, there is a steady rise in the number of deaths occurring during the winter months, with the majority of these being women and the elderly.
Although Winter deaths are steadily increasing year on year, the sharpest rise was in the winter of 2014 - 2015. With there statistically being more women living past the age of 85 years, then it is hardly surprising that there are more women than men dying, with the largest reason for the elderly deaths being respiratory related illnesses.
And with less than one third of the adult UK population having a valid Will in place, now is a good time to start to get your affairs in order.
